Wednesday Flashback: Moody Blues

Back in 1974 my friend and I would often drive out to Huntington Beach in the evenings and playing on the radio was always "Nights in White Satin". I'm not sure why that song resonated so much with us at the time (It was several years old at the time) but the haunting and melodious song seemed to touch a chord with us emotionally.

Before Nights in White Satin and "Tuesday Afternoon" the Moody Blues had a few hits in Great Britain, starting in 1965, that are not as well known. I still think they speak to the real roots of this group, and the promise of what was to come for them.
