Why Obamacare will work – A Rebuttal

Thursday, August 22, 2013
When I look at Obamacare, I don't see all doom and gloom. Sure some states are refusing to implement it, but I have a feeling when citizens see affordable insurance being made available to the previously uninsured, they might feel differently.

Add to that the parts of ACA that have already been put into effect. Kids staying on their parents insurance until they are 26, rules making insurance companies pay for healthcare and the no lifetime maximum benefit as well as pre-existing conditions being a thing of the pass. ACA has benefitted many people already.

The only people I see that are against the Affordable Care Act are Republicans who know if successful it will fly in the face of their small (read non-existent) government dreams. I don't think insurance companies are against it that much, since they are going to gain some 30-40 million new customers due to the individual mandate.

Sure, parts of it might not work, right away, but in the long run, Obamacare will work and change the country for the better.
