Dining In Dublin

Tuesday, April 23, 2013
We spent much of our time eating in pubs while in Dublin. From the neighborhood joint, Fagan's to the up scale Toddy's Bar and Brasserie and finally at a gastro pub with an amazing beer and wine select called Ely.

All the food was very good and quite accommodating to Diane's gluten free dietary needs. According to everyone the food at Fagan's was amazing. I can't back that up. Between jet lag and some pints I was literally falling asleep at the table.

The next day we visited Toddy's for a quick bite. I hade small roast beef sandwiches with horseradish mayo, but everyone else had a pureed and creamed vegetable salad they raved about.

Monday night we went Ely, which was the highpoint od my eating experience. I enjoyed the tomato, fennel & mozzarella salad appetizer along with the roast Irish chicken main course.

The others had a ribeye steak that enjoyed as well. If you are out in the Dublin Docklands area, definitely try this one out.

All in all our eating experience in Dublin was very positive. You might not think of Dublin as a great food town, but it truly is.
