Thursday Think- Sneak Peek-Student Loan Crisis

Thursday, January 10, 2013
There was a time when parents, without question, would extol to their children the benefits of higher education. Statistics do show that the number of Bachelor's degrees among 25-29 year olds is higher than at any other time in our history. The question should be raised, though, as to whether we are doing our young people any favors by sending them off to college. With mounting student loan debts and a recessive job market, what's a high school graduate to do?

In our upcoming think pieces, we are going to spotlight the student loan/debt crisis. We'll look at this from the viewpoint of pure finances, to the job market, to those 'underwater' degrees, to the real puzzle of even financing college in our current economic environment.
