I am home and have nothing better to do

Tuesday, November 02, 2010
I am home. Currently my life exists as moments between pain med updates (every 4 to 6 hours). I have been trying to push the times further apart.

I think the surgery went well. I am experiencing immediate relief of pain and numbness is my feet, ankles and calves. The pain where they performed the fusion is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. So, all in all, things are good. I am glad to be home. You can look forward to many more random, possibly drug fueled blog posts over the next 4 weeks, because I am home and have nothing better to do.

Behold the power of Tommy Shaw's awesome pageboy hair cut! Cower at Dennis DeYoung's mighty keyboard powers! By the way, Styx is evidence that we weren't as cool as we thought we were in 1981. This video is funny if view it with your GenX irony glasses. Sadly, irony didn't exist in 1981.

This is blog post  111 for 2010. Only 30 more to go to meet last years output.

  1. sorry for your pain *hug' and fun about irony glasses but 70-ish was even worse :-)

  2. Welcome home.

Don't move the pain med times further apart if you are in pain. Don't.

    Just don't.

Take care matey, take care - I look forward to your posts over the next while. :D

  3. Agreed with Rantz; for the first week or two I'd just take them every four hours on the dot. There's no sense being in terrible pain this early in the recovery process.
