Random Photo - 8,298 Reasons

Or why I should do a better job organizing my photos. Last December 30th I add 8,298 digital photos representing the last 2 ½ years of picture taking into iPhoto. The intent of this effort was to organize and tag all of them for easy access.

There were couple of things I didn't count on. One; 8,298 is a LOT of photos. Two; I tend to have good idea of what my good or at least, standout, shots were, so they tend to get printed, organized and uploaded. The rest? Well I am a quantity kind of guy (the idea being that if a take enough shots, one will be a standout), so sorting through the volume of images is kind of a pain. Once sorted, I try to figure out what to do with them.

Today's photo was taking at the ruins @ Sirmione on Lago De Garda in 2007. I liked the photo, but it needed a little help. So I tweaked the levels and exposure, then selected the area in the archway and overexposed just that part.
